EDIT first lists the text on the first line, lines 11 and 12, and lines 25
through the last line of the file (note there is no line 10, so EDIT cannot
list it). It then lists the first, second, and third lines that contain the
string Tom within the range of the first line through line 17 as well as
line 20.
