Consequently, some valid JOIN commands are:
*JOIN FIRST
*JOIN 12.01/LAST
*JOIN ALL WIDTH 45
*JOIN *
Joins text at line number 12.01
through the last line in the file
to the default join width
Joins text of the first line of
file to the default join width
Joins the current
line to the default
join width
Joins all lines in the file to
a width of 45 characters
An asterisk (*) in a range parameter references the current line. The current
line is the last line number specified in the range parameter of the most
recent editor command. For example, the following command lists the text
on line number 8 and line number 10:
*LIST 8 10
Line number 10 is the current line. The following command starts adding
text after line number 10:
*ADD *
