4.24.6 MARKER ARM OPERATION
The marker operation is controlled by the drive engage button “ACK”.
1. At the beginning of a seeding pass press the “ACK” button to engage the drive and lower the
furrow openers.
2. Then press the “Down” key to extend the marker. Travling across the field the marker can
be raised and lowered as necessary to accommodate obstacles. At the end of the seeding pass
the marker can be retracted by pressing the “Up” key or it will automatically retract when the
“ACK” button is pressed to disengage the drive and raise the openers. Pressing the “ACK”
button also increments the marker sequence so the alternate marker will extend with the
beginning of the next seeding pass.
NOTE: The monitor will display the marker status on the run screen, to add this to the display
press any of the soft keys to bring up the soft key menu.
1. Press “Item”. A highlight box will appear over the upper LH window. Navigate the highlight
box to the display window were the user wants to place the marker information and press
“Enter”.
2. A menu will appear with a list of all the items the user
can display in the window. Navigate to “Selective Marker”
and press “Enter”. When displayed the Selective marker
display will show NONE when no markers are extended,
RIGHT or LEFT when one marker is extended and BOTH
when both markers are extended.
NOTE: The window item selection is time limited. If no action is taken after selecting “Item”
from the soft key menu the monitor will cancel the function.
