HiPath 8000 Functions
The HiPath 8000 system supports a number of func-
tions, which you can activate or deactivate via the tele-
phone. With a multiline telephone each function relates
to the prime line. The functions can also be invoked via
optiPoint display module call control
.
Toggle Key
To invoke the functions "make line busy" and "stop hunt"
one of the function keys can be defined and program-
med as feature toggle key (see also
By pressing the function key, you can activate or deac-
tivate the corresponding HiPath 8000 function on the
server.
You can only assign function keys on the first level be-
cause the LED associated with the key is used to indi-
cate the function’s status as either On (LED on) or Off
(LED off). The LED indicates the status of a function on
the server. It can therefore change regardless of wheth-
er a function key is pressed or not.
If a function key is pressed, the display will indicate the
resultant status of the function.
Example:
Switching between "Line busy" and "Line free".
Precondition: Your service personnel has set up a key
for the function "Busy" (switch line "Busy" for the hunt
group).
Press the toggle key.
The message "Line busy" appears in the display and the
LED lights up.
Press the toggle key again to switch back to "Line free".
The message "Line free" appears in the display and the
LED goes out.
