Link group assignments are also used to establish DCA groups. When a channel is
assigned to a Link group, its faders can be remote-controlled from a DCA fader in
the Link/DCA Layer. A DCA fader imposes an even-gain offset to all the faders
assigned to it. When the DCA fader is set to zero, the channel faders under its
control are unchanged.
When a DCA fader moves, the linked faders do not move. Instead, a “ghost” fader
indicates the total gain achieved by a channel’s faders and the DCA offset. This is
similar to the behavior of analog VCA faders.
The DCA faders also provide a Mute function that behaves as a Mute group.
Channels assigned to a link group.
DCA is at default 0 dB offset.
Same group controlled by a DCA. “Ghost” faders
indicate offset created by DCA.
A DCA is always active, regardless of the Link group selection or the status of the Link button. Remove a channel from a DCA group
by removing it from the Link Group.
