diskettes.
4. If your diskette drive read/write heads are dirty, you may
occasionally see this MS-DOS error message:

Abort, Retry, or Fail?
To clean the read/write heads, use a diskette drive head
cleaning kit, available in most computer stores. However,
do not use a cleaning kit too often because excessive
cleaning can damage your drive heads.
Hard Disk Problems
If you are having problems with the hard disk in your computer,
you may see one of the following error messages:
1760 DISK 0 PARAME TER FAILURE
1761 DISK 1 PARAMETER FAILURE
1 7 7 0 DISK 0 PARAMETER ERROR
1 7 7 1 DISK 1 PARAMETER ERROR
1 7 8 0 DISK 0 FAILURE
1 7 8 1 DISK 1 FAILURE
1 7 8 2 DISK CONTROLLER FAILURE
1790 DISK 0 ERROR
1791 DISK 1 ERROR
Try the following steps:
1. Be sure you have installed MS-DOS on the hard disk
according to the instructions in the MS-DOS Installation
Guide.
