Using a Control Word to Reboot the Module
If you need to cold boot the module from the processor without using the
Coldboot mailbox, use the ModuleStatus_SetOperatingMode control word
variable.
To reboot the module
1 Enter the hexadecimal value 16#9999 in the
ModuleStatus_SetOperatingMode register, as shown in the following
illustration.
2 Add the following lines to the program file:
This logic will reset the value in ModuleStatus_SetOperatingMode to
16#0000.
Note: It is normal for the remote (passive) Master in Hot Standby applications to reboot twice
during this procedure.
