Set IP
button to open an IP Address entry window (

Click on each field to be changed, type in the desired IP address, and
click
Set
.

The component will need to be reset to make the IP address change take
effect. Press the reset button on the Video Processor Frame, or the Panel
Reset button (the one on the left) on the Control Panel to reset the
device. See Reset Procedures
CAUTION Changing the IP address of an operating Karrera component can disrupt
system communications until matching changes to the addresses other com-
ponents use are made on those other devices. Registering new IP Node
addresses may also be necessary.
Other GV Switcher Installer Program Functions
The GV Switcher Installer program can also be used to install the KSP and
NetConfig applications on that PC, using the buttons on the left.
In addition the GV Switcher Installer application has the following other
features, accessed by clicking on its labeled button:
Rescan
- Re-scans the network for devices. This refreshes the screen to show
the currently connected components and any modified system names.
Update
- Updates the software on the selected device using the software
deployed with this GV Switcher Installer version.
Set Name
- Opens a window allowing you to change the name of the selected
device.
Set Server
- (Control Panel selected in hierarchy window) - Opens a window
allowing you to enter the IP address the Control Panel will use to commu-
nicate with the Video Processor Frame.
Clear NV
- (Frame or Control Panel selected) Clears NV Memory.
