To allocate a channel for the CBR interface, set the channel’s “Rate”
parameter according to the table shown on page 4-40 and the Service
parameter to the Service Index for the CBR interface (4). To allocate a
channel for the Serial Interface, refer to the paragraphs below.
Serial CES Configuration
The WANsuite 6450 has the capability to multiplex/demultiplex the Serial
interface data stream with the CBR interface data stream. The multiplexing/
demultiplexing is external to the AAL1 SAR; the user controls it by designating
time slots for the CES service on the CBR or Serial port. To configure the Serial
interface for CES service, perform the following steps:
