On the older version of the cable there are two wires, which have spade lugs on one end and a
DB-9S connector on the other. The wires connect the terminal block on the back of the interface
box to the male 9-pin connector current loop at the distribution box.
At the terminal block, connect the red wire to the black wire and the black wire to the red
wire. This may be extended by any 1:1 9-pin “D” connector extension cable having pins 6 and 7
connected.
Newer version of the C06691 cable have the mating connector to P1 on one end and a DB 95
connector on the other. These cables connect right from P1 to the DB-95 connector as follows:
Interface to D-Box RS-422/485 Wiring - CRIND Loop
(must use universal D-box)
Part number: adaptor is C06692; eight foot cable is C06242; both together are C06326.
There are four wires, which have a modular handset plug on one end and a DB-9P connector
on the other. The wires connect the CRIND RS-422/485 jack on the interface box to the DB-9S
RS-422/485 loop at the D-box.
The wire colors are not significant. This cable may be extended using an RJ-11 or RJ-12 1:1
telephone extension cable.
The modular pins are numbered from right to left when looking at the modular plug from
the retainer-clip side, with the cable inserted into the plug on the side closest to you.
