5.1 Operation
In a typical configuration, the TWTA is mounted on or near the antenna. The local
controller is installed in a sheltered location and connected by cable to the TWTA. A
second controller, the remote controller, can be connected to the local controller. Refer
to Figure 5-2.
The TWTA can be controlled from the HPC-1200 front panel (LOCAL control) or from
the remote controller (REMOTE control). Selection of the LOCAL or REMOTE control
operation is determined by the REMOTE/LOCAL switch on the HPC-1200 front panel.
