The GARP Timers page contains the following fields:
• Interface — Specifies the Unit and Port or LAG on which the GARP timer is enabled.
•
GARP Join Timer (10–100) — Displays time, in centiseconds, that PDUs are transmitted. The
possible field value is 10-100. The default value is 100 centisecs.
•
GARP Leave Timer (30–600) — Displays time lapse, in centiseconds, that the switch waits before
leaving its GARP state. Leave time is activated by a Leave All Time message sent/received, and
cancelled by the Join message received. Leave time must be greater than or equal to three times the
join time. The possible field value is 30–600. The default value is 60 centisecs.
•
GARP Leave All Timer (200–6000) — Displays time lapse, in centiseconds, that all switches wait
before leaving the GARP state. The leave all time must be greater than the leave time
.
The possible
field value is 200–6000. The default value is 1000 centisecs.
Defining GARP Timers
1. Open the GARP Timers page.
2. Complete the fields.
3. Click Apply Changes.
The parameters are copied to the selected ports or LAGs in the GARP Timers Table, and the device is
updated.
Displaying Parameters in the GARP Timers Table
1. Open the GARP Timers page.
2. Click Show All.
The GARP Timers Table displays.
