Capturing the Event Log File
This function allows the user to capture the entire event log (which is saved as a file on the
user's hard drive). This allows the user to print the log or even attach it to an email.
The steps below are for HyperTerminal. The procedure may differ for different terminal emu-
lators.
To capture the event log file:
1.
With HyperTerminal running, press CTRL-E until the Event Log displays.
2.
Select Capture Text from the Transfer Menu (in HyperTerminal).
The Capture Text screen should now display.
3.
Enter the desired path and file name to store the log file contents.
4.
Click Start.
5.
Press P (on the keyboard) to begin the transfer.
6.
Select Capture Text from the Transfer Menu (in HyperTerminal).
The Capture Text screen should now display.
7.
Click Stop.
