To set up motion detection:
1. Enter the Camera Management screen by selecting
Camera
in the main
menu. The Camera Management screen appears.
2. Select one or more cameras for which you want to configure motion
detection, and then click
Setup
to display the Camera Settings screen.
3. Click the Advanced tab to display the Advanced Camera Settings screen.
4. Check the
Motion Detection
box to enable motion detection. The Area Setup
button is activated.
5. Select the areas sensitive to motion.
Click
Area Setup
to enter the motion detection area setup interface.
Note:
This option is only available for analog cameras. The button is inactive
for IP cameras.
The motion detection area setup interface appears. It lets you define areas
where you want motion to be detected. By default to whole screen is selected
and appears as a red grid (295 squares). Click and drag an area to deselect
that area for motion detection. Areas covered by the red grid are sensitive to
motion detection.
Right-click the mouse and click
Sensitivity
from the pop-up menu to set the
motion detection sensitivity. A higher value indicates higher sensitivity and
vice versa. Click
OK
to accept and return to the motion detection area setup
interface.
Again right-click the mouse and click
Target Size
to specify how many grid
squares must be activated before motion is detected. Enter a value between
