Proceed as follows to use the empty pipe alarm ouiput.
Alarm output setting
Set the empty alarm enable/disabJe Mates la ON. Sec iS.2*l3, “Hmpty Pipe Alarm.'’
DO function i^tting
Set DOl or D02 (option) as ;hc empty pipe alarm output, and select liie active
status, Normal Open or Normal Cfose. See B.2.9, “Digital I/O” If you use the empty
pipe alarm function but not an external output, this setting is not needed.
Output conditions when an empty pipe aliirm occurs:
• 4-20nA output:

• Totalizer arid pulse outputiTotalizcr and pulse output arc stopped.
• Measured data display:
Zero is indicated for instantaneous flow rate.
• Alarm output:
Condition programmed in the Digital output function and
active status set.
Note: Alarm output contacts are open while the converter is powered off.
