5.7 Software, setup
5.7.1 System configuration, setup
NOTE
The communication setup has to be done after connecting RS232 cables to the
control unit.
u Press Setup > System configuration on the main menu.
• The tab General appears.
u Make sure the correct device name is selected in the field (1).
u Select the connected detectors (UV DETECTOR 600, ELSD C­650, USB­
1408 FS) in the field (2). For the installation of an external detector please
read the provided instruction leaflet.

u Select the tab Pump.
u Press the search button (1) to find the right COM port.
u Select the number of solvents (A= isocratic, A+B= binary, A+B+C=
ternary, A+B+C+D= quaternary) (2).
