4.3.1 UV Detector
The UV/Vis diode array detector measures the amount of light absorbed by a
liquid passing through the cell at a given wavelength. It is equipped with a deu­
terium discharge lamp. The 4 wavelengths available and the SCAN function are
selected within a large range, from 200 to 600 nm.
Scan mode
Selection of the signals acquired from the detector(s). These signals can be
then plotted and used as reference for collection during the method execution.
The scan mode is used to plot the mean value calculated as from the values ob­
tained at several wavelengths on the range. The proposals depend on the de­
vices connected to the system that are given in the system configuration (by de­
fault: E600:CH1, E600:CH2 & E600:SCAN, ELSD).
4.3.2 Valve module
The valve module gives the possibility to inject a sample (liquid or solid via dry­
load) automatically via 6­way electrical valve.
On the right side of the valve module the following optional accessories can be
installed:
• Switching valve
• Back flush valve
