• Wear gloves when handling chemicals
• Wear protective clothes
• Ensure all liquid bottles are secure
• No smocking or open flames
• Clean up all spillages
2.5.2 Specific hazard
NOTICE
Risk of spilled liquids.
Liquid from a leak can cause a fire or damage components of the device.
u Check all tube connections and the pump module for leakages.
u Regularly check the device during operation for leakages.
u If a leak occurs, stop the device immediately.
Line rupture
If a line ruptures or a valve opens accidentally under pressure, a potentially haz­
ardous spray of liquid might be generated by the pump. Never open a solvent
line or valve under pressure.
u Wear protective goggles.
u Stop the pump.
u Let the pressure drop to 0 bar.
2.5.3 Personal protective equipment
CAUTION
Risk of hydraulic line rupture.
Solvent can cause eye damage and skin burns.
u Wear protective goggles.
u Wear protective clothes.
u Wear protective gloves.
Always wear personal protective equipment such as protective eye goggles,
protective clothing and gloves. The personal protective equipment must meet
the requirements of all MSDS for the chemicals used.
