5.3.2 External devices, connection
NOTICE
Risk of software damage due to malware.
No antivirus software is installed on the C­700. The internal software can be
damaged by plugging in external devices.
u The primary use of the RJ45 connection is printing.
u The primary use of the USB connections are the use of a mouse, Key­
board and memory stick.
u Connecting to any network or connecting a memory stick requires a safe
and virus free network.
NOTE
To ensure the stability of the software it is strongly recommended not to install
any antivirus software on the control unit.
u Connect the cable on the right side of the control unit to the RJ45 or USB
socket.

• Keyboard
• Mouse
• USB memory stick
u Do not install additional programs on the C­700.
NOTE
The maximum length of external USB cables is limited to 2 meter.
5.4 Rack and glass tubes, installation
u Insert the glass tubes (2) into the rack (3).
u Place the rack in front of the guide (4).
u Depending on the used glass tubes, check the distance to the needle (1)
of the fraction collector. The distance should be 5–25 mm.
