Multicast rate limiting threshold: in packets per second, bits per sec, or

percentage

Broadcast rate limiting threshold: in packets per second, bits per sec, or

percentage

Smartport assignment per port: role and VLAN

Save and restore of switch configuration (via File Obj)

Add a Switch to the I/O
Configuration Tree

To add the switch to the controller’s I/O tree, follow these steps.

1. Open the project file for the controller that monitors the switch.

2. Select the Ethernet module through which the controller communicates

with the switch.

In this example, the switch communicates through a 1769-L32E
CompactLogix EtherNet/IP controller.

3. Right-click the Ethernet port you created and choose New Module.

4. Click Communications.

IMPORTANT

These steps are required before you can go online to configure and monitor the

switch.
