6 When the color image is output
through the PostScript driver, an
output is made with some of the
halftone section smeared in black. The reproducibility in the halftone
section of the color image is im-
proved. However, irrespective of
color and monochrome, the printing
speed may get slower. After switch-
ing over, the main power is required
to be turned OFF and ON.
7 When a number of jobs are put to-
gether in a single file to be output, it
is to be desired that an output is
made as a multiple job with a bundle
by the PJL JOB NAME or PJL EOJ
NAME command used as a job de-
limiter. The print data in a file can be output
as multiple jobs with a bundle by the
JOB NAME or PJL EOJ NAME com-
mand used as a job delimiter.
8 It is to be desired that the permissi-
ble range of the auto detection of
the regular paper size is changed
while in the TIFF direct print. The On (1)/Off (0) combination of the
switches 8 and 9 allows the permis-
sible range to be changed.
(1) No.8: [0], No.9: [0]
--> +0.9mm - -10.0mm
(2) No.8: [1], No.9:[ 0]
--> +0.9mm - -4.0mm
(3) No.8: [0], No.9: [1]
--> +0.9mm - -0.9mm
The permissible range gets narrow-
er in the order of (1) --> (2) --> (3)
and is more liable to be recognized
as an irregular size.

11 It is to be desired that the specifica-
tion of the paper feed tray of the
copier is set to [Auto] at all times.
(Normally, the specification of the
paper feed tray of the driver is re-
flected.) The paper feed tray of the copier is
set to [Auto] at all times. In that
case, however, no specification of
the paper feed tray from the printer
driver is also reflected.
12 It is to be desired that a file name
specified with an argument of the
LPR command is displayed in the
list as a job name. (Normally, a job
name specified with an original or
driver is displayed.) A file name specified with an argu-
ment of the LPR command is dis-
played in the control panel.
13 In the font list display of the Font
Management Utility, the font type of
the RAM font is displayed as [HDD]. In the font list of the Font Manage-
ment Utility, the font type of the
RAM font is displayed as [RAM].
However, more time may be re-
quired for the installation of the
Postscript font.
14 When the Letter Tab size is output
as a PDF direct print, a sheet of
9x11 inch size paper is required by
the copier. An output is made in the Letter Tab
size.
