Alternate Sources of the Array Configuration Utility
Running ACU from within the Operating System
If the server you are configuring is running under Windows 2000,
Windows NT or NetWare, you can install and run the configuration utility
online.
■
Windows 2000—When you install the Compaq Support Paq for
Windows 2000, the Array Configuration Utility is automatically
installed on your server.
■
Windows NT—When you install the Compaq Support Paq for
Windows NT, a program icon is created automatically. Select the icon to
run the ACU.
NOTE: The Windows NT online ACU requires that at least one logical drive be previously
configured while offline.
■
NetWare—The Compaq Array Configuration Utility for NetWare
(CPQONLIN.NLM) is included in the Compaq Support Paq for Novell
NetWare. Refer to the ARRAY.RDM readme file included in the CSP for
access instructions on loading and using CPQONLIN.NLM.
Running ACU from the SmartStart and Support
Software CD
You can run the ACU directly from the SmartStart and Support Software CD.
1. Insert the SmartStart and Support Software CD in the server’s CD-ROM
drive and power up the server. A menu is displayed.
2. Select the Array Configuration Utility.
3. After completing the configuration, remove the CD and restart the
server.
