Option ROM-Based Array Configuration Utility
The Option ROM-based Array Configuration Utility allows you to set up a
simple configuration during the Power-On Self-Test (POST). During POST
the configuration state of the internal SCSI drives is detected. If either of the
following conditions exist, the initial start screen will be displayed:
■
There are no logical drives configured.
■
There is only one logical drive configured and there are no more than 6
physical drives attached to all of the SCSI buses supported.
At the initial screen, press Esc to bypass the Option ROM-Based
Configuration Utility. You can configure the internal drives later using the
Array Configuration Utility while running SmartStart.
At the initial screen, press F10 to run the utility.
If there are no logical drives detected, you will be prompted to indicate the
operating system to be used. You are then prompted to choose the logical drive
configuration. The utility will use all internal physical drives to configure one
logical drive. You can change this configuration later using the ACU.
If there is one logical drive detected, you have the option to delete the
configuration. Deleting the configuration will result in loss of any data on the
drive. If you delete an existing configuration, you can set up a new
configuration after you reboot.
