The device driver interface specification defines how device drivers
communicate with the UnixWare operating system and hot-plug software.
SCO’s Device Driver Interface version 8 (DDI-8) and other device driver
interfaces are enhanced to provide the functions for adding or removing driver
instances and suspending or resuming operation in conjunction with hot-plug
operations.
Installing PCI Support
Compaq Enhanced Functionality Support (EFS) diskettes for Unix contain all
the software components to support Compaq PCI Hot Plug.
