If you attempt to create a peer motion configuration between an encrypted source system and
a non-encrypted destination system, a warning dialog displays, indicating data migrated to
the non-encrypted system will no longer be protected by encryption. Click Yes to create the
configuration, or click No to return to the Select Systems screen with the destination system
reset.
3.
Click Next to open the Set Up Connections page.
Set Up Connections
1.
Select a port in the destination system.
2.
Select Pick a pair for
destination port. (Peer ports display as bold.)
NOTE:
If the host ports are not already configured, you can configure them in the Port
Parameters area.
NOTE:
If the peer ports are not already configured, the NPIV Port Count will be blank. For
Online Windows Cluster Migration, each physical peer port must have two associated NPIV
ports for every host in the cluster. For example, to support a Windows Cluster with two hosts,
enter an NPIV Port Count of four. The NPIV Port count must be a multiple of two and must be
the same for both peer ports. The maximum number of NPIV ports supported in 3.1.3 is eight
and the maximum number of hosts supported for Online Windows Cluster Migration in 3.1.3
is four.
NOTE:
If the peer ports are already configured, the NPIV Port Count reflects the number of
NPIV ports already created on the peer ports. You can increase the NPIV Port Count in order
to support a Windows Cluster with more hosts during Online Migration.
NOTE:
At any time, you can view host and peer port WWNs by clicking
on the Set Up Connections screen.
