One of the Remote Copy pairs can be bidirectional. All others must be unidirectional.
•
You can use either Remote Copy over IP (RCIP) or Remote Copy over Fibre Channel (RCFC)
connections with N-to-1 Remote Copy configurations.
•
The backup storage system must have at least four controller nodes.
•
The backup system in the N-to-1 configuration must use only S-Class (P4) or T-Class controller
nodes. The backup system cannot use E-Class or two-node F-Class controller nodes.
•
You can only use asynchronous periodic mode volume groups with N-to-1 Remote Copy
configurations.
1-to-N Considerations
•
In a 1-to-N configuration, one primary storage system participates in a maximum of two Remote
Copy pairs, one for each backup storage system (see
Figure 11 (page 27) ).
