matrix

A two-dimensional array of real or

complex numbers enclosed by square

brackets. Matrices can be created

and manipulated by the Matrix Editor

and stored in the Matrix Catalog.

Vectors are also handled by the

Matrix Catalog and Editor.

menu

A choice of options given in the

display. It can appear as a list or as a

set of touch buttons across the bottom

of the display.

Text that you write in the Note Editor.

It can be a general, standalone note

or a note specific to an app.

open

sentence

An open sentence consists of two

expressions (algebraic or arithmetic),

separated by a relational operator

such as =, <, etc. Examples of open

variable

A name given to an object—such as
a number, list, matrix, graphic and so
