IP interface parameters
lists the interface-level IP parameters for Layer 3 Switches.
Static route
An IP route you place in the IP route table.

Source
interface
The IP address the router uses as the source address
for Telnet, RADIUS, or TACACS/TACACS+ packets
originated by the router. The router can select the
source address based on either of the following:
•
The lowest-numbered IP address on the interface
the packet is sent on.
•
The lowest-numbered IP address on a specific
interface. The address is used as the source for
all packets of the specified type regardless of
interface the packet is sent on.
The lowest-numbered IP

The router can assist DHCP/BootP Discovery packets

different subnet by placing the IP address of the router

packet’s Gateway field.
You can override the default and specify the IP address to
use for the Gateway field in the packets.
NOTE: UDP broadcast forwarding for client DHCP/BootP
requests (bootpc) must be enabled and you must
configure an IP helper address (the server’s IP
address or a directed broadcast to the server’s
subnet) on the port connected to the client.
