TRIGger:SOURce:ADVance{EXTernal|INTernal|TTLTrig
Purpose
This command will set the advance source for the trigger mode. The backplane on the PXI chassis has some
signals on the P2 connector that allow inter-instrument communication and synchronization. Among these
lines, there are some trigger lines, STAR trigger, and local bus lines. There are 8 trigger lines that can serve
as source or target. Normally, these lines are designated as tri-state lines. The TRIG:SOUR:TTLT
command converts one of these lines to input.

TRIGger:SOURce:ADVance?
Response and default
The PXA125 will return EXT, INT, TTLT
setting. Default value is EXT.
TRIGger:STAR{OFF|ON|0|1}
Purpose
In addition to bused PXI triggers, the PXI bus has included an independent trigger (PXI_STAR) for each slot
that is oriented in a star configuration from the star trigger slot. The star trigger slot is adjacent to the system
slot and uses the 13 left local bus signals as the star triggers. The PXI_STAR specifications are only partially
implemented in the PXA125 where only 8 star lines are being addressed, all of them in parallel thus, if you
plug the card in slot 2 and turn TRIG:STAR ON, the front-panel SYNC signal will be routed to 8 STAR lines
simultaneously. The PXA125 controls star lines in slots 3 through 10.
•
ON or 1 will make STAR lines in slots 3 through 10 active
