8. The
IP SETUP
configuration screen has
several parameters to program.
– The Local Port: can be a random
number which is assigned to the
FB2550 DAT.
– Port numbers are values from 0 to
65535.
– Ports 0 to 1024 are reserved for certain
privileged services.
– The combination of port number and IP address is called a socket.
– The Local Port: and Remote Port: values should match.
DEFAULT = 5001
– The
Remote Port:
looks for information to forward to the Remote Host:
(remote device name) application.
– The
Timeout:
function is to stop communications when it is inactive.
– The
Keep Alive / Linger
settings will act as a means to keep the
connections active even when activity is limited.
9. Press
PAGE FORWARD
.
– The settings shown assist with
Networks which have active
firewalls, and permit the IP
communications to continue
operating, instead of becoming
blocked by the networks firewall
settings.
10. Press the
SAVE CHANGES
button when any changes are made otherwise
the changes will be lost.
Select
BACK: CONFIGURATION MENU
to return to the Configuration
Menu.
