Click the
Software
tab.

Scroll to the SMX Control Program and click
Install
.
4.
Follow the on-screen instructions. The installation program creates a
C:\Program
Files\Extron\SMX
folder.
Within this folder are created three icons for the SMX Control pgm, SMX Help, Uninstall
SMX Control pgm.
Starting the Program
1.
Click
Start > Programs > Extron Electronics > SMX Control Program > SMX
Control Pgm
(or select the desktop icon, if created during installation).
The Comm Port Selection window appears.
2.
Choose the comm (serial) port
that is connected to the SMX or select
IP [LAN]
.
NOTE: For a comm port, check the baud rate displayed in the comm port selection
window. To change the baud rate, click the
Baud
button and select the desired
baud rate from the list.
