When the Overwrite mode is active, the clip will be added to the requested
position AND the media located after the insertion point will be overwritten by the
length of the added media.

Example of an Overwrite Action

The clip added is 00:00:04:23 long. The element after the insertion point is
initially 00:00:13:01.

When the new clip is added, the element after the insertion position is reduced by

the length of the added media. It is now 00:00:08:03 long.
