Authentication Server

Authentication Server properties allow you to control access to the
internet messaging capability of the Document Centre by selecting
from three different authentication schemes (Kerberos, NDS, or
SMB), in order to meet your system requirements.

Using Authentication Server properties, you can identify the default
authentication server and two alternate servers. With DNS support,
the Document Centre can be accessed by host name as well as by IP
address.

General

The General setting specifies the authentication scheme that the
Document Centre will be interfacing with on your network.

1.

Open your Web browser and enter the TCP/IP address of the
Document Centre in the Address or Location field.

2.

Click the Properties tab or click Properties in the directory
tree.

3.

Select Services, then select Authentication Server in the
directory tree.

4.

Select General in the directory tree.

5.

Click to select the Authentication Type:

Kerberos (Solaris)
