Distribution Templates
Distribution templates specify the default scanning template
options used for scanning with Internet Services. The default
distribution template is accessed from the Services Page by users,
but is defined by Network Administrators from the Distribution
Template Properties Page.
The Document Centre includes a system template that is available
from the embedded HTTP server. This template has factory
settings. The first step is to create a default template for users and
then save it with a new name. You can use the factory template
settings or customize the settings for your site. Once the default
template is available, it can be modified for personal use and saved
as a custom template by users.
You can create a default template specifically for Scan to File or
Scan to Fax.
NOTE Faxing on the Document Centre is only available with an external
faxing hardware and software solution.
General
General settings are the overall options for scanning using Internet
Services.
To specify general settings:
1. Open your Web browser and enter the TCP/IP address of the
Document Centre in the Address or Location field.
2. Click the Properties tab or click Properties in the directory
tree.
3. Select Services, then select Distribution Templates in the
directory tree.
NOTE If Distribution Templates is not selectable, Scanning is not enabled
on the Document Centre.
