‘Pitch Shift’

This indicates the amount of pitch shift between the original playback speed and the current
playback speed.

‘Programs’

This control shows the available audio “programs” specified by the current ‘Config’ selection.
When more than one “program” is available, you should select the one that you want to
modify before making changes to the items in the right-hand pane of the metadata page.

Note: This option is enabled only for Dolby E.

‘Modes & Levels’ Tab

The parameters found in the ‘Modes & Levels’ tab of the metadata page are described here.

‘Description’

This allows the user to enter a textual description for the selected “program.” Any description
entered appears in brackets within the list of programs.

‘Bitstream Mode’

This indicates the type of program service being carried. Choices include the following:

Main audio service: complete main (CM).

Main audio service: music and effects (ME).

Associated service: visually impaired (VI).

Associated service: hearing impaired (HI).

Associated service: dialogue (D).

Associated service: commentary (C).

Associated service: emergency (E).

Associated service: voice over (VO).

Main audio service: karaoke.

‘Audio Coding Mode’

This indicates which of the main service channels are in use. Choices include the following:

1/0 C

2/0 L,R

3/0 L,C,R

2/1 L,R,S

3/1 L,C,R,S

2/2 L,R,Ls,Rs

3/2 L,C,R,Ls,Rs

‘Center Mix Level’

This indicates the nominal down-mix level of the center channel (C) with respect to the left
(L) and right (R) channels. Choices include the following:

0.707 (–3

dB)

0.595 (–4.5

dB)

0.500 (–6

dB)
