Take

There are two kinds of ‘Take’ buttons that can appear on buttons of the panel (other than the
large fixed ‘Take’ button at the lower right).

Take Primary

Take Secondary

Each of these buttons takes a subset of what is armed to program output. An example of a
primary function is the A/B mixer. An example of a secondary function is a DSK.

For more information about the primary and secondary subsets, refer to the Imagestore 750
User’s Guide
.

Take Primary

A ‘Take Primary’ button transitions the primary subset of the panel’s armed functions to
program output.

Take Secondary

A ‘Take Secondary’ button transitions the secondary subset of the panel’s armed functions to
program output.

GPI

GPI means “general purpose interface.” A GPI output port lets you control an external device. A
GPI input port receives a signal from an external device.

The iMC-Panel-100 has a GPI/Alarm connector at the rear that provides 2 relay outputs (with NO,
NC, and COM terminals) and 2 optically isolated TTL-level inputs. The 2 relays can control
external devices. The inputs can sense external events in your system.

There are 3 GPI button types that can be present on your iMC-Panel-100:

Any GPI button will have a legend assigned by the configurer. All GPI buttons are green.

S

A iMC-Panel-100 configuration does not allow any GPI port to be represented by more than
one button.

GPI Output

A GPI output button is a toggle: when it is deselected, the associated relay’s “normally open”
circuit is open. When it is selected, the relay’s “normally open” circuit is closed. (When a GPI
output button is selected, it is high-tally.)

GPI Input

A GPI input button displays the state of a GPI input (panel or MCPM/MCE). There are 2 options:

The button is low-tally when the associated GPI input is active (current flowing).

The button is high-tally when the associated GPI input is active (current flowing).

GPI input

Displays status of one of the 2 inputs on the iMC-Panel-100.

GPI output

Controls one of the 2 relays on the iMC-Panel-100.

Combined GPI input
and output

Displays status of one input (iMC-Panel-100 or MCPM/MCE) and controls
one output (iMC-Panel-100 or MCPM/MCE).
