Auto Power Off
This option sets the delay after which the camera automatically turns itself
off when it has not been used for a set time.
1. From the setup menu (
p.36), select [AUTO POWER OFF].
Use the jog dial to select [AUTO POWER OFF] and then press the OK
( ) button.
2. Select the desired delay setting.
Use the jog dial to select the delay and then press the OK ( ) button.
5 MIN.: If the camera is not used for 5 minutes or longer, it turns
itself off.
10 MIN.: If the camera is not used for 10 minutes or longer, it turns
itself off.
OFF: The camera does not automatically turn off.

This function does not work when the camera is in standby mode,
during video recording or playback, while data is being erased,
protected or copied, while auto play is running, or while the camera is
connected to a PC or printer.
If [QUICK START] (
p.115) is set to [ON], auto power off turns the
camera off rather than switching it to standby mode.
