Reducing Wind Noise
This function reduces wind noise in the recorded sound when you are
shooting video.
1. From the recording menu (
p.34), select [WIND NOISE
REDUCTION].
Use the jog dial to select [WIND NOISE REDUCTION] and then press
the OK ( ) button.
2. Select [ON].
Use the jog dial to select [ON] and then press the OK ( ) button.
ON:
Wind noise reduction function is used.
OFF: Wind noise reduction function is not used.
MEMO
Image stabilization may be ineffective with excessive camera shake or
when you are tracking a moving subject.
The effectiveness of image stabilization differs depending on the scene
setting and the surrounding brightness. Its effectiveness is limited in
dark locations.
Image stabilization reduces the problem of camera shake when you are
shooting video. Image stabilization does not correct camera shake
when you are shooting still images.
Setting the camera to auto mode selects [ON] as the image stabilization
setting.

MEMO
This function is not effective if you shoot with the microphone pointing
directly into the wind.
Setting the camera to auto mode selects [ON] as the wind noise
reduction setting.
