Com port
COM is a generic name given to physical and virtual serial
communications ports.

Compile
The software process of converting human‐readable program code to
binary machine code. CR1000 user programs are compiled internally by
the CR1000 operating system.
constant
A connector is a device that allows one or more electron conduits
(wires, traces, leads, etc) to be connected or disconnected as a group. A
connector consists of two parts — male and female. For example, a
common household ac power receptacle is the female portion of a
connector. The plug at the end of a lamp power cord is the male
portion of the connector. See terminal
(p. 468).
constant
A packet of CR1000 memory given an alpha‐numeric name and assigned
a fixed number.
control I/O
Terminals C1 ‐ C8 or processes utilizing these terminals.
CoraScript
CoraScript is a command‐line interpreter associated with LoggerNet
datalogger support software. Refer to the LoggerNet manual, available
at www.campbellsci.com, for more information.
CPU
Central processing unit. The brains of the CR1000.
CR1000KD
An optional hand‐held keyboard display for use with the CR1000 and
CR800 dataloggers. See the appendix Keyboard Display
(p. 567).
