Note 1: If the RAM on the XP Remote Web Console client is 256 MB or less, the maximum number of concurrent
users for XP Remote Web Console and Export Tool is one. If multiple instances of Remote Web Console or Export
Tool are to be started on the XP Remote Web Console client, more than 512 MB of memory is recommended for
the XP Remote Web Console client.
Note 2: If JRE™ is not already installed on the XP Remote Web Console client, it will be downloaded when you
log on to the server. If you receive an error message (see Figure 2-1), you can download JRE™ from the Java™
web site at www.java.sun.com . If the XP Remote Web Console client is not connected to the Internet, download
the JRE™ install program onto another computer and then copy it onto the XP Remote Web Console client. For
instructions, see the JRE™ install guide.
• For Windows® systems, if JRE™ is installed successfully, the Java™ plug-in is in the Control Panel. Please
confirm that you can activate the JRE™ by the plug-in icon.
• For UNIX® systems, please confirm that you can open the ControlPane.html file in the directory where the
Java Runtime Environment™ is installed.

Note 2: If JRE™ is not installed on the XP Remote Web Console client, JRE™ is automatically installed via the
Internet when you log on to XP Remote Web Console. However, an error such as shown by Figure 2-2 can occur
because of the condition of the download server. If an error occurred, download JRE™ from the Java™ web site
at www.java.sun.com . If the XP Remote Web Console client is not connected to the Internet, download JRE™
install program, and then copy the install program to install JRE™ on the XP Remote Web Console client. See the
JRE™ installation guide if you need instructions.
