5-3-4 Setting the Host Group
The [HostGroup] tag allows you to add, delete, or change the host group information. The following parameters
apply:
•
You can delete the settings for host group 0 (zero), but the host group itself cannot be deleted. If you delete
all the settings for host group 0, the settings revert to the default settings.
•
When you delete a host group, the WWN and path definition of that host group are automatically deleted.
Therefore, if you write the settings for a host group that is deleted in the [LUN] tag or [WWN] tag, an error
occurs.
Table 5-6 lists the items and values available for the [HostGroup] tag.

Up to 16 ASCII characters (letters, numerals, and symbols). The setting is case-
sensitive.

Host Mode
00 - 2F. Set with hexadecimal numbers in one or two digits.
5th, 15th
Host Mode Option 0 - FFFFFFFF. Set with hexadecimal numbers in from one digit to eight digits.
The default value when the spreadsheet is exported is in eight digits.
“0”s at the head of the number can be omitted when you set the value.
6th, 16th
Blank
