IR PROGRAMMING BRACKET
An optional IR Programming Bracket (PN: 65917-001) can be used
to assist in reading ORION endpoints The bracket allows you to be
hands-free when using the IR programming cable and facilitates
correct alignment between the IR optical read head and the IR
port on the endpoint
The larger end (bottom) of the bracket fits on the bottom of the
endpoint The endpoint cable fits through one of the open sides
No tools are required
IR programming bracket
1 Hold the endpoint upside down and position the bottom of the bracket over the tabs at the bottom of the endpoint
The bracket should fit easily over the bottom of the endpoint Turn clockwise so it catches on the endpoint tabs to
lock it in place

NOTE: N Do NOT insert the IR head into the slot of the bracket before placing the bracket on the endpoint The
bracket will not fit on the endpoint if the IR head is inserted
2 Place the IR head in the slot, facing either direction The IR head fits snugly in the slot Make sure the IR head is
inserted straight in the slot
NOTE: N The IR head is in the correct position for a read but does not sit directly over the LED port of the endpoint

3 When finished using the bracket, remove the IR head Then turn the bracket counterclockwise to loosen it and
remove it from the endpoint
