3 Check the “Listen for Gateway” box on the screen for fixed network applications
4 To view existing endpoint settings or set new ones, tap Set Endpoint Properties.
Result: A screen displays with the meter type, size and unit of measure as shown in Figure 97.
Typically, the properties do not need to be changed However, if an endpoint with an RTR or ENC encoder is being
installed on a different meter or a gas meter, you can tap Size & Type and Units to change the properties Align
the optical head of the IR cable with the endpoint IR LED port and tap the Program button to set the new
endpoint properties
Tap Close if you do not wish to make any changes

5 Align the optical head of the IR cable with the endpoint IR LED port and tap IR START
Result: The Network communication Test 2 of 2 screen displays.
6 If it is being installed, place the endpoint into position

Put the endpoint into its final physical location For example, with a pit lid installation, mount the endpoint
according to the pit lid installation instructions before proceeding
7 Wait for radio (RF) communication (Figure 98) from the endpoint When RF communication is made, the RF GO button
becomes active Tap RF GO (Figure 99)
