Call lists

General

The Chatter™ Data Logger uses two call list to deliver data or alarms to recipients:

The data call list is used to deliver logged data from the Chatter™ Data Logger to one or more recipients.
The alarm call list is used to deliver alarms from the Chatter™ Data Logger to one or more recipients.

Data calls

The data call list are based on intervals between calls, not exact call times of day. These intervals are defined in
three separate

data call intervals

Those call lists acts as a sort of directory, telling the Chatter™ Data Logger who to call.
The data call list shares a common set of

recipients

with the alarm call list

The same data are delivered to all recipients in a call list

Initiating a call

When a call list interval is reached, any call list using this interval will initiate its call. If more than one call list uses
this interval, the call lists will initiate their calls, one after another, starting with call numbers of the lowest value.
If several intervals is reached at the same time, interval 1 will start as the first, interval 2 will initiate its call
immediately after.

Failing calls

If a call fails for some reason that call will be retried after a two minute modem power off followed by an
initialisation. Calls will be retried two times, after which the call is completely given up until the next interval is
reached. If a single call fails completely, the remaining call will still try to execute.

Alarm calls

In case of an alarm, an alarms calls will be initiated. Alarm calls works like data calls, with the exception that no
scheduled interval exists. An alarm is the trigger for alarm calls. Alarm calls will be retried two times, after which
the call is completely given up. If a single alarm call fails completely, the remaining call will still try to execute.
