Use this screen to edit your device’s advanced WAN backup settings. To open this screen,
click WAN > Backup and the Advanced button.

Basic
Authentication Type Use the drop-down list box to select an authentication protocol for outgoing
calls. Options are:
CHAP/PAP - Your device accepts either CHAP or PAP when requested by this
remote node.
CHAP - Your device accepts CHAP only.
PAP - Your device accept PAP only.
