Configuration | Advanced menu
Use the Advanced menu to access configuration options for authentication, GPIO-16, clock,
soft reboot, and diagnostics. There is a factory reset menu item that allows the device to be
reset to factory defaults. To enable the factory reset menu item, refer to
67.

Authentication menu
Authentication
is the process of determining someone's identity. Intercoms that support
authentication may require a username and password for each AZedit/IPedit session.
Use the Authentication menu to configure authentication parameters for AZedit, IPedit, and
the keypad. Use the debug menu item to enable or disable the ability to run debug on the
device.

AZedit
Use the
AZedit Authentication
screen to define whether authentication for AZedit is required.
Up to 20 different user profiles can be created for different port authentication rules with user
names, passwords, and admin rights.

Enable Check Box
The
Enable
check box determines whether AZedit authentication is required. The Enable
check box must be selected to enable authentication for AZedit.
The default for this field is enabled.

Notice!
If authentication is enabled and no users are defined, it is possible to become locked out of
the intercom system. If this occurs, contact technical support for instructions on
authentication bypass to gain access to the front panel where changes to the authentication
settings can be made.
