Type Field
Use the
Type
field to select the type of microphone or allow the device to detect automatically
the type of microphone connected.
Available options are:
–
Auto-Detect (default)
–
Dynamic
–
Electret
LEC Enable Check Box
Use the
LEC Enable
check box to determine whether
LEC
(Line Echo Cancellation) is enabled
on the microphone.
LEC prevents echo and feedback from occurring between the microphone and the speaker.
AGC Attack Field
Use the
AGC Attack
field to set the speed at which the microphone gets to the activation
threshold, the point where the circuit determines if sound is present. The smaller the attack
time, the faster the mic turns on.
Available options are:
–
0.5 ms
–
1.0 ms (default)
–
2.0 ms
AGC Decay Field
Use the
AGC Decay
field to set the speed at which the gain transitions to silence during
release.
Available options are:
–
500 ms
–
750 ms (default)
–
1000 ms
Noise Gate Field
Use the
Noise Gate
field to enable or disable an audio level at which the mic turns on. When
enabled, the microphone audio only turns on when the audio level exceeds the configured
threshold. When disabled, the microphone is always on.
Compression Field
Use the
Compression
field to change the audio's dynamic gain, meaning audio above the noise
gate threshold changes according to the compression ratio selected. The compression
changes the dynamic range of the mic input. In other words, loud sounds soften, while soft
sounds amplify.
Available options are:
–
1:1
–
2:1
–
3:1 (default)
–
4:1
–
5:1
–
6:1
Headset Speaker Section
The Headset Speaker section controls the headset detection functions: auto-transfer, which
detects if a headset is present, and mode, which determines when and where the user hears
audio.
Mode-Left Field
The
Mode
Left
field sets the state of the left headphone of the headset.
