Configuring Bisync Line Options
When you select to configure a line (for Bisync) the following panel will be displayed.
Field Definitions
Configurable options for Bisync include:
ID: This is a text field (alphanumeric plus underscore, dash, and period) that you can
enter a description for the line to make it more recognizable for management purposes.
Emulation Type: There are two configurable options: Host and Terminal. For 3270
Bisync, only the Host option is valid.
Terminal Type: Configurable terminal types are:
• 2770
• 2780
• 3270 (Only one currently supported)
• 3741
• 3780
Port Mode: Configurable Port Modes are DCE and DTE. DCE or Data Communication
Equipment indicates that the FEP-4600 will be providing clocks as if it were a modem
thus allowing a 3270 Bisync platform to be directly attached. DTE or Data Terminal
Equipment indicates that the FEP-4600 expects to be attached to a modem or modem
eliminator.
