Button Definitions
Return: This button will return you to the previous panel. Changes that have not been
saved by pressing the ‘Update’ button will be lost.
Update: Pressing the Update button saves the changes made on this panel for use the
next time the ESCON interface is loaded. If there are any detected error conditions, an
error message will be displayed to the right of the buttons and the changes are not saved.
Subchannels: Pressing this button allows you to configure the subchannels for the
selected CU
Delete (CU): Pressing this button will cause a panel to be displayed showing the
currently defined CUs. See ‘Deleting CUs’ below.
New: Will cause several of the fields to revert to their defaults and causes the CU
Number field to indicate the next CU definition available to allow you to define a new
CU definition. When the CU definition is complete, press the ‘Update’ button to
complete the CU addition function.
Other Panel Information
Assigned Addresses: Provides an indication of how many of the 256 subchannel
addresses supported by the selected ESCON interface have been assigned already.
Available Addresses: Provides an indication of how many of the 256 subchannel
addresses supported by the selected ESCON interface are still available for assignment.
