Network Options Panel

Selecting the ‘Network’ option will display the following configuration options:


The configuration options on this panel will allow you to modify the network interface
used for management of the FEP-4600. After you have entered all of the values that you
need, then press the ‘Submit’ button. The new values will be stored and will take affect
the next time the FEP-4600 gets booted.


Field Definitions

Primary Network Parameters:

Host Name: This is the name that this platform will identify itself with to SNMP or to a
DNS server. The value of this field defaults to ‘localhost’.

IP Address: Enter the IP address that you want to use with Ethernet interface 0.
Changing this value will affect the server IP address that you will browse, to make future
configuration changes.

Netmask: This is the subnet mask that is to be used by the Ethernet interface 0.

Default Gateway: This IP address is for the local router, which will interface the
FEP-4600 to the greater network. The FEP-4600 requires for you to fill in this field. If
you elect to keep the FEP-4600 connected to an isolated LAN, you will still need to
provide an unused address on the subnet to which the FEP-4600 will be attached.
Otherwise, enter the value for your local router. The FEP-4600 will automatically attempt
to route traffic through the default gateway whenever the destination is not on the local
